The Need for Tweed

A heavy tweed jacket doubles as outerwear, ya know. Add a pair of long johns and the need for great cumbersome overcoats is alleviated.

Until it gets really cold.

Yeah but the muffler can be a problem. It's OK loose and outside the coat but when I wrap up tight and stick the ends inside the tweed I'm never quite sure I don't look like a dweeb.

LL Bean makes a Sport Coat w/ a quilted lining that really does the job.
Well done on the weight loss Sir.

MLS - I've been eyeing that LL Bean coat. There's a store at Tyson's Corner, Va. — I'll go check it out in person over Xmas.

LW - Dweeb, schmeeb.

I bought one on E-Bay for pennies on the dollar...wear it all the time.

The Bean tweed jacket/coat is poorly tailored. The lapels are lopsided and the whole thing just looks out of kilter. Take a look at let me know what you think.
